What your day-to-day might look like:
As the financial leader of the organization, you will provide exceptional leadership to the Accounting Team by instilling purpose, direction, motivation, and professional growth, all while driving the organization’s overall success and growth.
In this role, you’ll oversee all accounting functions, financial strategy, forecasting, investments, and overall financial management. You will monitor the organization’s financial performance and risk, directing short- and long-term planning to achieve and exceed financial, operational, and risk mitigation goals.
Your responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports while summarizing complex information into concise, clear presentations for diverse audiences. You’ll also deliver annual summaries of financial performance and forecasts to stakeholders.
Strict adherence to GAAP, state and federal regulations, and organizational guidelines is essential. You will participate in audits, quality control reviews, assessments, and tax filings to maintain compliance and operational integrity.
As a key executive team member, you’ll contribute to strategic planning, goal setting, and the evaluation of initiatives to enhance team and organizational success. Additionally, you’ll lead financial assessments and provide recommendations for joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions, and business development opportunities.
You’ll also represent the organization in all bonding and insurance matters, ensuring timely renewals, issuance of bonds, and effective management of vendor and subcontractor insurance certificates.
This position requires a dynamic leader capable of steering financial excellence while fostering organizational growth and stability.
You need:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or Accounting
- 5-7 years of Financial Management experience
- 5-7 years of Risk Management or Mitigation experience
- 5-7 years of Financial Analyst, Investment Banker, Financial Manager and/or Investor experience
- 7+ years of leadership experience
- 3+ years as a senior manager or executive-level positions
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite and financial management and accounting software (Sage, Oracle, Zoho, Quicken, etc.)
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in business administration, Finance, or Accounting
- 7+ years of Financial Management experience
- 3+ years of experience in the construction industry
- 7+ years of Risk Management or Mitigation experience
- 7+ years of Financial Analyst, Investment Banker, Financial Manager and/or Investor experience
